There is a great book called Getting Started with Neurofeedback by John Demos. It is a very easy read and a good introduction to neurofeedback. An excellent choice for beginners.

You can also find more information online. One site that offers a nice client guide is http://growing.com/mind/index.htm . You can also visit bio-medical.com for a full listing of different biofeedback and neurofeedback organizations. Most have member lists so you can find a certified provider in your area. ISNR is probably your best bet. Give them a call and let them know about your interest in neurofeedback. You can also call me at Bio-Medical and I'll be happy to offer some direction.

Thank you for the reply. We've just begun neurofeedback, and I have a second provider who is part of a integrative health center that I am looking at, but I'd like to have something I can sit and read and return to as questions come to me. I'm not afraid of the science and I'd like to know as much as possible.

I'd suggest contacting www.isnr.org and look for a neurofeedback provider in your area. They have a lot of information for patients and related research regarding neurofeedback. Also, there is a list of International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) Neurofeedback Providers @ http://www.isnr.org/isnrlist.cfm .

We have just recieved the QEEG for my son, which seems to indiate (judging from all the red in the frontal areas) that he is not suited for medication. While I wait for the neurologist, is there a book or articles that go into what all this means at more of a lay person's level?
